Uynite Inc, Aurora, Illinois, USA, is the organization responsible for this personal information. We will reply within 30 days, or sooner if the law where you live requires it.
Information you give us
- Name, user ID, and birthday. Other people see your age. They do not see your birthday.
- The gender you choose, if you add one. People can see it on your profile.
- A live photo, so people can see who they would meet. The face check runs on the phone. The camera frames are not sent to the AI model.
- The times you are free, a short note, and the cards you send or receive.
- A public place you pick for a meet.
- Squad names, invites, and photos you add to a Squad.
- In India, if you are 16 or 17: the parent or guardian’s name, email, the time they agreed, and that the phone region was India.
Information from Google or Apple
Google or Apple tells us it is you. We store their account identifier so you can sign in again. We do not see your Google or Apple password. We do not keep a separate copy of that email address on the Uynite account.
Information the phone sends
- If you allow location, the phone sends a coordinate while you use the free map or turn on I’m Free. We store an approximate point. Other people see a dot moved by several hundred meters, and a distance range such as under 1 mile. They do not receive the coordinate we store.
- If the phone does not have a precise fix, the app can ask ipwho.is for a city-level area from the network address. That request goes from your phone to ipwho.is. It is used to center the map. It is not your street address.
- When a card looks for a public place, the activity and a nearby coordinate can be sent to OpenStreetMap Nominatim and to Photon so we can name a public place. We do not send your name with that search.
- If you allow notifications, we store a push token so a meet reminder can arrive through Apple Push Notification service or Firebase Cloud Messaging. The daily “Free tonight?” reminder is scheduled on the phone. It is not a profile we sell.
- Standard server logs can include an IP address, the time, and the request path, so we can run and protect the service.
What the AI is allowed to see
- A sentence you type, a free-time note, a request line, or a bio, so Uynite can fill a card or refuse a note that asks for a private place, sex, or a hunt.
- The model runs on Uynite’s own servers. We do not send that text to OpenAI, and we do not use it to train a public model.
- The model does not receive your face frames, your exact location, or your birthday.
- It does not use your age or gender to rank people.
- It does not accept a meet, and it does not write a chat. You send the card.
Why we use it
- To create and run your account, which is the contract you ask for when you join.
- To show nearby people who are free, deliver a card, and remind you of a meet you already accepted.
- To keep meetings in public, block under-16 signups, and store parent agreement where India requires it.
- To protect the service, fix failures, and answer a request you send to privacy@uynite.com.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for cross-app advertising. We do not rent profile lists.
Who else receives it
- Other Uynite users see your name, age, gender if you added it, live photo, approximate distance, free window, and a card you send them. They do not see your birthday, parent details, or exact coordinate.
- Google handles Google sign-in, Firebase Cloud Messaging for Android push, and Google Cloud hosting. The account, photos, and cards are stored in the United States, region us-central1.
- Apple handles Apple sign-in and Apple push on iPhone.
- ipwho.is can receive the phone’s network address when the app asks for a city-level area.
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim and Photon can receive a place search and a nearby coordinate when Uynite looks up a public place.
- Uynite’s own model server receives the text needed to fill or check a card. It stays inside Uynite’s cloud network.
We can also disclose information if the law requires it, or to respond to a valid legal request, or to prevent harm. If we sell the business, the account information can move to the buyer under this same policy, and we will update this page.
How long we keep it
- The account, profile, photo, Squad membership, and meet cards stay until you delete the account, or until we remove them because the account broke the terms.
- A free window stays while it is turned on. Turning it off or deleting the account removes it from the live service.
- A push token stays until you sign out, turn remote notifications off, or delete the account.
- Parent name and email stay with the account until the account is deleted.
- Delete account removes the live profile. There is no restore button. A routine cloud backup can still hold a copy until that backup expires under Google Cloud’s backup cycle. We do not keep a separate marketing copy.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and you can object to a use or ask us to limit it. Delete account in Profile is the fastest way to delete. You can also email privacy@uynite.com. We may need to confirm it is your account before we act.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can complain to your data protection authority. If you are in India, you can raise a grievance at privacy@uynite.com. If a law gives you a right this page does not list, that right still applies.
California
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents can ask for access or deletion at privacy@uynite.com. We will not discriminate against you for asking.
India, ages 16 and 17
If the phone region is India and you are 16 or 17, a parent or guardian agrees before the account is finished. We store their name and email with that agreement. Under 16 cannot join.
Children
Uynite is not for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly keep an account for someone under 16. If we learn that we did, we delete it. Write to privacy@uynite.com if you believe a child has an account.
Security
The apps and this website talk to Uynite over HTTPS. The service is hosted on Google Cloud, which encrypts stored disks as part of the platform. No service can promise that a breach is impossible. If we learn of a breach that the law says we must announce, we will notify the people and authorities the law requires.
